BUDWEIS AWAITS YOU
Six years after the brand’s resurgence on the back of the three magnificent Chief models, the range has expanded significantly with different engine sizes and there are now over 20,000 of these fine machines on the roads of Europe.
In June 2019 the First Czech Riders Group invited Indian Motorcycle owners to join them at the Indian Riders Fest in České Budějovice – more commonly known as Budweis – in the Czech Republic.
Word spread on social media and through the Riders Groups, until nearly 500 Indians from all over Europe descended on this city in Bohemia with its long and colourful history. Visitors were treated to a very warm welcome, along with a wealth of tourist attractions.
The organisers had lined up a great party, including rides along the beautiful routes in the region, concerts, a historical exhibition of vintage Indi-an motorcycles, lots of entertainment and an impres-sive parade on the last day, when all the participants gathered on Budweis’s central square, Přemysl Otakar.
The event was a huge success and brought together fans of the brand to share some unforgettable moments. So much so, that Indian Motorcycle intends to back it and make it even bigger and better in 2020, when it will also serve as the IMRG’s official international meetup.
Already on the programme are a big village; two gigs featuring Queenie – World Queen Tribute Band and Last Chance Riders Rock’n’Roll; the chance to win a customised Indian; test rides of the Indian range including the new Challenger; a massive parade, and lots more.
